6th Annual Neighborhood Luminary Night

Sunday, December 21st, 2025

Arlington Heights, IL

Let's celebrate the holiday season by transforming our neighborhood into a winter village!

Including the following area:
Oakton Street, south to Euclid AvenueArlington Heights Road, east to Douglas Avenue

PURCHASING AND PICKING UP LUMINARY CANDLES

REGISTER: by December 15th

Purchase your luminary candle kits and volunteer to help with the event by using the Google Registration Form.
Submit payment by either CASH or CHECK to your Street Captain or VENMO to: @Allison-Varjavandi

PICKUP: December 21st, 2PM - 4:00 PM

Pickup your luminary candle kits at your Street Captain's driveway. You will be able to put your kits together with the help of volunteers.
Bring a wagon or box to carry your luminaries home.

PLACE: Bags & Light Candles by 5:00 PM

Place luminaries 3 to 4 feet apart, on the sidewalks, closest to the parkway, or at the edge of your yard.
After placing the luminaries and lighting them, join neighbors on Marshall St. for the events or enjoy the evening from the comfort of your home!

SPECIAL EVENTS ON LUMINARY NIGHT @ 5:00 PM

On Marshall St., between Douglas Ave. & Pine Ave.

Santa!

Santa will be visiting from the North Pole and wandering the neighborhood starting at 5:00 PM!

John Hersey High School Dickens Carolers

The local group will be singing holiday classics starting at 5:15 PM.

Musical Entertainment

Bressler Entertainment, a fun DJ and dance group, will be performing immediately after the carolers!

Free Hot Cocoa

Grab a cup! Sponsored by Caroline Starr and The C Starr Team from 5:00 PM until we run out.

Hospitality Table

Delicious treats provided by the generous volunteers in the neighborhood! If you are interested in providing treats for the event, please drop them with your Street Captain when you pick up your luminariesOR directly to the table at 5:00 PM (please use disposable containers).

Tievoli Pizza Truck / Billy Bricks

The food truck will be on Marshall St. from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. They will be taking orders for 10” pizzas either at the truck or online pre-orders. Pre-order at: https://foodtruck.pub/order/menu.aspx?busid=5021.

How can you help?

We'd love your help! Please note what you can help with on the Google Registration Form or email us at luminary.night.ah@gmail.com. NOTE: Volunteer hours given to students who can commit to helping!

Some opportunities are:

- Fold down white bags before the big day in your home. - Fill bags on Sunday at the Street Captain's driveway.-Hospitality table: donate treats for the neighbors to share. -Play a holiday movie in your front yard on a big screen at 5:00 PM for all to enjoy.-Assist the cleanup crew after the event.

The goal of this event is to bring the community closer together by enjoying an evening with our neighbors. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new neighbors. We hope you enjoy it!
